Wireless controller "DUALSHOCK 3" for PS3 cannot be used with PS4

First, I connected the PS3 peripherals released by SCE to the PS4 and tried to see if they could be used.

"DUALSHOCK 3", which is a wireless controller for PS3, was displayed as "PlayStation3 wireless controller cannot be used", and I could not operate or use it at all. It is a state in which the device is firmly recognized and played.

On the contrary, it was partially possible to use the PS4 controller [DUALSHOCK 4] with PS3. The SHARE button acts as a select button, and the OPTION button acts as a start button. However, it is limited to use with a wired connection connected to PS3 with a USB cable, and the PS button does not work. Probably, it is close to the state where it is recognized as a general-purpose gamepad and not as "DUALSHOCK 4".

Also, some titles did not work well. "Diablo III" could be operated without any problems, but "Gran Turismo 6" could not be operated normally during the race (button inputs were recognized, but the car did not move accordingly). From this point of view, it is difficult to use "DUALSHOCK 4" as the main for PS3, and the idea of ​​purchasing it for PS3 in anticipation of purchasing PS4 in the future is also a bit difficult.

In addition, it was also possible to connect "DUALSHOCK 4" to a Windows PC with a USB cable or Bluetooth. However, there were some unique features in the movement and key recognition that differed from general PC gamepads, so I would like to organize the results of a detailed investigation and report them at a later date.

If you connect the PS4 wireless controller "DUALSHOCK 4" to a Windows PC, it will work without any special effort. However, there were some peculiarities such as key recognition, so I'd like to tell you about it later after investigating in more detail and organizing the information. For example, "PS MOVE Motion Controller" and "Navigation Controller". This is officially compatible with PS4, so it works without any problems. After connecting with a USB cable and pairing, you can operate the menu by moving it while pressing the move button toward the PlayStation Camera. Free pointer operation was not possible in the browser, and it was possible to move the pointer with the arrow keys and operate the button.

I tried to connect "PlayStation Eye", which was a camera device for PS3, but it was displayed as "not compatible with this device" and could not be used. For PS4, "PlayStation Camera" is recommended.

The official wireless headset for PS3 (CEJH-15002) could not be used because it displayed "No compatible profile found" when pairing. I tried the old model before the design renovation, but it seems that the CEJH-15012 will probably have the same result. Even though the PS4 comes with a monaural headset that connects to the controller with a cable, many people would prefer a completely wireless headset. I would like to see a profile added by upgrading the system software.

In addition, the wireless headset receiver "Bluetooth Stereo Headset Receiver (PSP-N270)" released at the same time as the PSP go does not display the device name when pairing, and "Corresponding profile not found. ” was displayed and I could not use it.
